What is the CLCC?

Confessional Lutheran for Christ s Commission (CLCC) is a new organization whose objectives are to foster a united and coordinated voice among Confessional Lutherans and to build up Christ's Church by providing education and training primarily for the laity, but also for commissioned workers and the clergy. Our confessional statement is on the reverse.

Three types of memberships are offered: individuals, congregations and associated organizations. Congregation memberships are key to building unity and acting as host sites for CLCC sponsored training. See the CLCC Membership page for additional information. We are a non-profit organization.

All offices will be filled with non-paid staff. As the organization grows, the plan is to add services, new functions and group health benefits for CLCC employees and member congregations.

As a new organization we made available an initial offering of Bible studies and seminars. More are under development at this time and will be posted on our Website as they become available. Please check the calendar for current schedules and available products.

For further information on CLCC, please contact one of our leadership.

Our Confession: Every member of the CLCC organization accepts without reservation:

  1. The Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as the written, inspired, and inerrant Word of God and the only rule and norm of faith and practice;

  2. All the Symbolical Books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as a true and unadulterated statement and exposition of the Word of God, to wit: the three Ecumenical Creeds (the Apostles Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Athanasian Creed), the Unaltered Augsburg Confession, the Apology of the Augsburg Confession, the Smalcald Articles, the Large Catechism of Luther, the Small Catechism of Luther, and the Formula of Concord.

Our conditions of membership are stated in Article VI of the Constitution, as follows:

  1. Acceptance of the Confessional basis of Article II

  2. Commitment to obtain a greater knowledge and understanding of Scripture and Lutheran Confessions as defining the One True Faith of Christianity;

  3. Joint commitment to our fellow believers to uplift and educate them in the One True Faith, as servants of our Savior, the Head of the Church, Jesus Christ.

Our educational services are directed toward the laity, for the purposes of strengthening individuals and congregations, including but not limited to the following areas:

  • Confessional teachings
  • Reformation History
  • Discipleship
  • Implementation of Christ's Commission
  • Leadership skills for laymen, and
  • Church polity

This program will be carried out by a series of local seminars and regional conferences on the above and other approved topics.
