What: A seminar for teaching Lutherans about Lutheran history, down through time
When: Feb 13, 2010 Where: Immanuel Lutheran Church, 802 E Chapman Ave, Orange, CA Time: Reg. 8:30, start at 9:30am, end at 4:30 pm, lunch 12:30-1:30pm
Who Should Attend: Anybody who wants to know more about the early Christian church, early reformers, the Lutheran Reformation, and the Saxon immigration. Especially important for youth and recent converts. Along with the religious history comes the geo-political history for perspective, as they are so tightly coupled until the time of immigration. The Reformation chapters also deal with the history and overview of the Book of Concord. Each attendee receives a booklet having a $18.00 value. Youth with parents free (no book).
Agenda: Opening followed by: Session 1 – History up to the 95 Theses Session 2 – The life and works of Luther Session 3 – Augsburg Confession & Luther’s last days
Session 4 - Book of Concord to now
